Known for his painterly style and large scale murals, world renown street artist Franco "JAZ" Fasoli baffled his fans and exhibit visitors with a beautiful solo show comprised of six medium sized paper collages. Opening to a full house of hardcore JAZ fans the exhibition titled "Fiesta Control" at the Product 81 Gallery in Wynwood will continue to be on display until October 10, 2014. Fasoli's work has maintained a constant narrative in recent years. One of rituals, violence and their role in shaping Latin America's identity.
The meticulously arranged pieces of colored paper strongly maintained the artist's identity by recreating his loose painting style and color palette in this new body of work; while establishing the artist's range of medium and technique, besides his obvious mastery of the brush. Regardless of technique, this new body of work maintains the easily recognizable style of the world famous JAZ murals and was amazingly achieved without the use of paint or brushes.
"I have wanted to try this for a while. I've always been a painter but I wanted to try a completely different technique and method than what my hands are used to" explains Fasoli.

"Fiesta Control" shows the range of Fasoli's versatility as an artist and elevated the Fordistas Residence Program to new heights. As they would say in his native Argentina… Que grande eres Franco!
