Tiers of empty seats, surrounded by water. The National Trust for Historic Preservation commissioned Hoxxoh to once again intervene with this landmark.
Gradation of color, the human color perception.
Forget about man against machine. This is Maquina versus Maquina.
Photographer Diana Larrea, who captured the first creation in 2014, explains the experience as Déjà Vu. The strong sensation of reliving this moment happened when she was heading towards the stadium, to document Hoxxoh’s progress, for the second time.
Doug, Hox, Hoxxoh, The Doctor, La Maquina, Tres Leches, Fuego con fuego, are only a few of the nicknames.

A closer look to the details.
The stadium lost its original purpose, but now, instead of having spectators sit on chairs and face the water, the artist forces us to turn around and observe the monument from another point of view.
